You are not expected to know these already. We teach them. They are listed here so you know what you would be working with. We will not test you on them.
What the work asks of you
Read these to see what the work is like. They are not a checklist and we do not score you on them. If two of the four sound like you, apply. Nobody arrives with all four, and the task you do after applying tells us more than this list can.

Somewhere you had to defend a view against people who disagreed. A debate or a Model UN counts. So does a group project, an online forum, or an argument with a teacher that you lost.
Why
Often two or three definitions are all reasonable, and you must pick one. Other people will disagree with your choice, and sometimes they will be right. You need to explain why you chose it, and change it when your explanation no longer works. People who have never been questioned usually treat their first answer as final.

Sport, dance, music, art, writing, building things. Anything outside your syllabus that you kept at once the interesting part was over.
Why
Getting these definitions right takes months, and the first version is almost never correct, so we look for people who continue after the interesting part is over. No certificate needed. How long you stayed with it tells us more than a certificate does.

Fiction, psychology, business, anything. We care that you have argued with a book, not how many you have read.
Why
Reading outside a syllabus is how anybody arrives with more than their course gave them, and disagreeing with a book is the same act as disagreeing with a definition here. Fiction counts, because most of this work is understanding what a person means rather than what they said. A list of titles with nothing you disagreed with tells us nothing.

A country raises a tariff, or a shipping route closes, and something changes inside a factory in Hyderabad. Being curious about how is enough. We do not expect you to know it already.
Why
This is the actual subject of the work, not a general knowledge test. Our software compares what a factory can make against what the market wants. Both change when a country raises its tariffs or a shipping route closes. You need to be able to follow how one change causes the next.
Why these and not a CV
We can teach you to write code in a few months, and AI has made this faster. So we do not test for it.
Deciding exactly what each term in a factory’s business means, before any software is written, takes years to learn. It comes from reading, from people disagreeing with you, and from staying with one thing long enough to be tested on it. That is what the four criteria look for. We select for the part that takes years, and we teach the part that takes months.

Business Analyst
You study a company’s sales data, find out why it is losing customers, and tell the owner what to change. No coding. Any subject, any year.

About the role, the hours, the stipend, the criteria, what happens after you apply, whether it fits alongside your classes, anything. No question is too small and asking one counts against you in no way. We reply by email, usually the same day.
Business development pays the most of the three roles. Four fields to fill, and we call you the same evening.
